Yes, get compliments all the time on my red Dobes. People will actually stop their cars to say how handsome or beautiful they are as we're walking down the street on a loose leash, stopping at every corner - they sit when I stop, by me to cross the street, then release word once on the other side to go back to loose leash walking. Every single doorway, including ones with doors that automatically open, they sit before going into the store or out of the store, car doors - they sit wait until given their release word, and the door opening is not the cue to get out of position either. This includes going outside to eliminate too. So that's how many times per day, both ways, you're getting your dog out? Also, multiple flights of steps to get to the door to the back yard - I usually send my guys down first (but I'm giving them my permission to do that). Some of my students have their dogs do a sit wait while the person does the steps first, then release word to allow the dog permission to come down or up depending on location - yes, every single time, every single doorway. Only exception is if you know it's loose stool, then it's just go, outside. Lol. Hope that helps.

I asked my dog, Trumpet, to be more polite and to have some manners but he's decided that he just wants to be a brat. He's 10 months old and 65 pounds. I'm 56 years old and 104 pounds. Trumpet wins😕
