"we did a 50k yesterday" with the most nonchalant vibe you can find, only Goggins

I admire your mental strength. Running when your body is tired is very tough but the body does what the mind tells it to do. One thing is to be careful that one does not get injured, if you are new at exercising, take breaks, until your body gets stronger, after that itā€™s more about your mental strength

1 day off per week. But don't go balls to the walls every run. 80% easy running, 20% hard, focused running (like track/speed workouts).

Did a hard 10 miles yesterday and this video inspired me to get out there again today for an easy 6 miles. Legs felt like shit but the run went so much better than expected. Iā€™m nowhere near your level but really want to run an ultra at some point. Mindset is so critical for these distances.

I'm 58 with good, strong knees and legs. I chose walking and interval sprints never long distance running. Few guys my age still have their legs, especially those that did extreme shit when younger ie., heavy squats, grueling 50k marathons without proper recovery etc.. Goggins is very entertaining, motivational even. I sure hope he'll still be able to walk in another 15 years. That's honestly speaking from my heart.

This is a recipe for most of us to be injured and out of the game entirely. I appreciate his tough as šŸ’© mentality and all heā€™s accomplished but he stands out because itā€™s a calling for his life. Not all our lives
