SAS will probably discontinue their Chicago and Newark routes in exchange for Atlanta and JFK, while possibly increasing service to Boston and LAX from CPH (and most likely adding a new route to one of them from ARN). On top of that it wouldnāt surprise me if Delta makes their seasonal Scandinavian routes to JFK all-year services while adding some new routes to MSP, LAX and Atlanta.
We will also probably see Korean Air, China airlines and China Eastern launch routes to CPH

Based out of OSL and was originally frustrated with this, but chewing on it over the last year Iām not so concerned.
As *A Gold I donāt get Fast Track access when flying on SAS metal out of OSL, but I do when flying literally any other *A partner.
My flights on SAS are almost always delayed. Colleagues flying on Norwegian at the same departure time will consistently arrive to destinations in Norway a good 20 minutes before me. This makes connections a nightmare if Iām ever connecting through SAS.
The only thing Iāll miss is the SAS lounge in OSL. I hope *A partners open a lounge in OSL, but Iāll happily skip that considering how absurdly efficient that airport check in and security are. I easily hit United 1K without the short intra-Norway SAS segments and will gladly switch to Norwegian for those flights.

I took SIS once, and I loved it. I loved the service. I loved the plane. It was gorgeous the only reason why I took this flight because it was the last one that was flying into Copenhagen so I had no choice but it was very expensive. Iāve noticed that itās not competitive, they never come up when Iām looking for a flight as competitive so now that they are moving into that arena itās a good thing for the customer itās a good thing for them. Itās a good thing for the airlines

Hi Dan, I love your content! It really helps my wife and I when we are making decisions for flights. We have United as our main choice of flying, and all of our pints with them. We live in Israel and travel to the states every year to see family. But itās becoming too increasingly expensive to even fly premium economy for my family on United. Over $7000 for three people to fly basically economy with extra legroom, and Iām seeing on Delta that I can get business class for three people at that price. Good that some companies are starting to switch. Itās great for us!

Hi Dan! What is your take on SAS burning off their stockholders?? if I invested in SAS and saw all my stocks valued at zero I would be pissed and never fly them again. It would have been much better if SAS went bankrupt and started all over again, at least, then the stockholders could have had peace of mind, knowing the company died. It seems now KLM, Air France and the Danish state is taking a piss on all the former stockholders.

SAS has been something of a hometown airline for decades. Theyāve screwed up a lot the past two decades, but theyāre still a sentimental fave. Hoping this works out!
