Fly Fishing the San Juan River

19 videos • 1,796 views • by McFly Angler The San Juan River is one of the top rivers in the world! Its great fishing year round being a tail water from Navajo Lake. The water stays cold in the summer and warm enough to not freeze in the winter. The fish however are pressured and are not willing to bite all flies. You must fish a small midge or even a streamer can work at times. Fishing for these fish with size 28-32 midge is tough, but sure worth it! You will see fish all over the place, coming up and nipping at your waders.
