Despite the research cited in these videos, there is some debate in the literature about omega 3s but a lot of that can be lost in the small nuances of the research being conducted. Personally and professionally, at least on the topic of dry eye, I have found the majority of research supports that omega 3s can help improve meibomian gland secretions, reduce tear film inflammation, stabilize the tear film, and improve dry eye symptoms. Note: Dry eye syndrome can be complicated by other forms of ocular surface disease and it is always best to consult with your local eye care professional if you are experiencing any eye pain or vision changes.
