But over the past decade, despite reaching upper middle-income status, Thailand has faced slowing economic growth, stagnating foreign investment, and political instability. The Foundation supports efforts by the Royal Thai Government on major reform initiatives, government programs, and new investments. We are also supporting Thai-led efforts in the region on sustainable development and Mekong cooperation, and working to strengthen U.S.-Thai relations.
