To make the Goldberg Variations more accessible for single-manual modern pianos, I created a new edition that redivides the notation and adds fingering suggestions for the challenging two-manual variations, without altering Bach's original notes or durations. I collaborated with pianist and transcriber Doug Gould. Doug has beautifully typeset a new 94-page PDF edition of Bach's Goldberg Variations. This edition aims to provide practical solutions for playing this complex work on a piano, making it more approachable for many pianists.
