Design is single deck featuring two separate layouts (CN Edson Sub & Jasper Yard/CP Laggan Sub) with stacked reverse loops at each end. The layouts occupy 1320 sq. ft. in a 30' x 40' basement with 8' ceiling. Construction began in May 2016. CP Laggan Subdivision Stats: Roughly 125' mainline run based on Canadian Pacific's Laggan Subdivison in Alberta, Canada. Area modeled is between MP 80 and MP 125. There is 250' of off layout staging which also turns the trains at each end. DCC control, signalling and block detection is Digitrax hardware, JMRI Panel Pro Software. Benchwork is mainly 1x2 spruce with some 1x3 for spans longer than 3'. Roadbed is Midwest Cork sitting on 1/8'' of recycled rubber glued down on 5/8" fir G1s plywood. Backdrop is 1/2" and 1/4'' flexible drywall. Lighting: LED potlights in the aisles. Layout lighting is Yuji hybrid strip 120 LED/m 95+CRI LED strip powered by two Meanwell 600W drivers.
