Employing the inimitable talents of some of the underground’s finest producers, the diverse package has something for every occasion! ITI Records are very excited to have head honcho of the I Love Acid parties, Balkan Vinyl and producer extraordinaire, Posthuman on remix duties. Never one to disappoint, he ‘breaks’ Fading down into tiny pieces and rebuilds it in his own image. Taking inspiration from early Hardcore and Acid, we’re treated to a proper dance floor workout of 808s, Rave Hoovers and breakbeats. Next up, Mute Records very own Maps takes the Fading elements and spins them into something new: simultaneously beautifully histrionic yet understated. The analogue machines get a breathless workout here, as dramatic chords build, arpeggios dart and dive and we are left panting on the floor. Manchester based producer, Lapalace, returns to ITI with a dark, distorted remix of Sigma. Stripping back the original Techno thumper, upping the tempo to Breakbeat territory, the track is torn to shreds, chopping and reusing the original elements, rounding it off with a weighty sub that will have any bass bin quaking uncontrollably. Lastly, but by no means leastly, Liverpool based artist All Trades takes from the Hardcore Rave continuum and filters Fading through his own experimental lens. The Interlock label co-founder uses hardware and Eurorack synthesisers to create a glitched out, IDM - Techno behemoth! An absolute pumper of epic proportions, All Trades is firing on all cylinders here. Hold onto your hats!
