My Band - The Barrelhouse Poets

This guitar was in pieces when I got it. The finish had been stripped off the body years and years ago. I refinished the guitar in Blonde Nitrocellulose lacquer. This is more in line with the way the guitar would have been painted prior to 1965. I added a Callaham hardtail bridge. Its old style steel and very high quality. After that I installed Seymour Duncan Texas Antiquity Pickups. Hand wound on clay bobbins with cloth wire. Just like the old days. Finally I took the guitar to a luthier and had them install Jescar Stainless steel fret wire. Typically Suhr uses this wire. It's quite a good quality and should never require any further fretwork. We reokaced the nut at the same time. Lastly we put the guitar on a PLEK machine to fine tune the action. For a guitar with a vintage 7.25 raduis it plays amazingly well.
