My Project Strat
4 videos • 73 views • by Rob Mods. My project strat was a "Casino" brand strat copy I bought it very cheaply. This has nothing to do with Epiphone Casinos. I believe it was made in Korea in the 90's, but I'm not sure. I rewired the pickups to include a custom series-parallel switch. I stripped and refinished the body with a semi-trans red wipe on finish, followed by a low gloss aerosol clear coat. I also replaced the plastic parts front and rear. I made a new nut from a Maton acoustic guitar bridge blank. I also "tattoed" my bunya leaf design onto the neck, coloured it with alcohol stains, then resprayed it with semi-gloss clear. In future I plan to replace the pickups with some more traditional sounding alnico single coils.
