9 videos • 35 views • by Venezuelans and Immigrants Aid Inc On October 20, 2021, Venezuelans and Immigrants Aid (VIA) will host an operatic concert by the renowned Venezuelan soprano María Brea, accompanied by the organization Orchestrating Dreams and special participation of the young singer Rebeca Marchan and the percussionist Jeickov Vital. The concert, titled "A Song for Venezuela," will have an extraordinary repertoire of songs dedicated to the country of Venezuela and raise funds to support VIA’s programs for the Venezuelan immigrant community seeking refuge in New York City. Niurka Meléndez and Héctor Arguinzones, founders of VIA and organizers of this concert, explained that they also want to raise awareness among philanthropists and collaborators from New York City about the situation that affects the displaced Venezuelans whom they will be able to support with their donations to VIA activities. Meléndez and Arguinzones expressed their gratitude to María Brea for supporting the work of VIA. "For one night, her voice will be our voice. We want to reach higher and further to continue raising awareness about the situation in Venezuela and the challenges faced by its displaced people in the world."
