Dr. Nicholas Sanford: MicroGenDX

He joined the laboratory in 2015 as a bench technician after earning a PhD in Biological Sciences, specializing in molecular biological methods such as qPCR and next-generation sequencing. Dr. Sanford is certified in genetics and genomics by the Stanford CPD and as a Medical Affairs Specialist by the ACMA. He actively contributes to the design and validation of MicroGenDX tests and dedicates time to educating physicians and patients on the benefits and limitations of molecular diagnostics. Dr. Sanford's research interests include predicting antimicrobial susceptibility using molecular methods and developing infection biomarkers.
