3 videos • 148 views • by Live UTI Free Evelyn Hecht, PT, ATC is the Founder of PelvicSense, an online pelvic healing home program. In the first video of a three-part series, she discusses how to use neuroplasticity and soothing skills to manage recurrent UTI. The first video explains how high stress levels affect the nervous and immune systems and elicit UTI symptom sensations. The second video explains how to ‘Rewire’ your brain to keep stress signals at bay via daily practices for a few minutes each day. These can include listening to audio guides that promote relaxation and deep breathing, expressive journaling and/or practicing gratitude. This video includes a guided Rewire session. The third video explains how movement can be used to dissuade the body—particularly the pelvic floor—from being “on guard” and tense which contributes to chronic UTI symptoms and associated chronic pain. The PelvicSense Move program comprises 45 gentle body movements. This video includes a guided Move session. Learning, mindfulness and movement are the trio of healing skills that should be used alongside treatment for chronic UTI. If you take 20-minutes, three times per week, over three months, your nervous system will be able to reset.
