E-Coli - Nirvana (1997) (fanmade)

Kurt Cobain, around this time, was already showing signs of another breaking point and was convinced to leave the whole project on hold for his slowly decaying mental health by his bandmates, refusing to do so and pretend that he was in perfectly good hands, continuing the project without any delays. Nirvana would release this 5th album on January 2, 1997, with Cobain at a mental hospital for further support and examination after he blacked out from a psychological/mental health attack he had from heroin intoxication. Nirvana canceled a few of their tour dates once again, showing signs that the group was fading away into obscurity and eventually led to rumors that they would disband after their sixth album, whenever that was supposed to occur at the time… Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic had ultimately decided to release the LP without Kurt's permission, but with record company DGC's permission instead for unknown reasons. The album was a mixed ball with critics and sold a moderate amount of copies, and Kurt was slightly fine with this outcome nonetheless. Months later, Kurt Cobain had mysteriously announced that due to blacking out, the cancellation of tour dates and being contained in a mental hospital for a month for care, the future of Nirvana was to remain uncertain and that the group would be on indefinite hiatus and even cancel all tour and concert dates to focus on the rehabilitation process (Kurt Cobain remained fully clean until 2002, but still slightly mentally unstable). More fan predictions came along due to this event, leading to many speculating that the band would quietly break up or that Cobain would commit suicide in the near future. Thus, the band would never be heard from again for years, only until at least four years after he stated this to the public in '97, now appearing visibly unkempt but in a calmer-ish state until his final breaking point in 2001 from exhaustion, stress, further descent into depression and so forth… The chalk message (featured on the cover of the album) "They hung him for me" pays homage to Kurt's idol, Leadbelly, and homage to the Nirvana cover of his 1933 song "They Hung Him on a Cross' ' featured on E-Coli. During Kurt and Nirvana's indefinite hiatus, Kurt Cobain had remained absolutely private about his current status at this point (even going as far as refusing to do interviews) and reportedly retired from the public and the music scene briefly (for two and a half years) from 1998-2000. Also during hiatus, every rare sighting of Kurt Cobain on and off camera would be described as horrifying and unsettling to the few who witnessed the sittings in the real world, mainly described using a crutch to walk/stand properly, numb and damaged in his left leg, slurred in speech, calm, sounding overly concerned and occasionally panicked, his beard shaven, wearing bizarre clothing, his eyes sunken, numb in his left ear, his physique appearing skinny in shape, appearing much older than he was during those times and his hair grown out to his shoulders. Everyone who had at least seen him for a brief moment were growing concerned and had immediate feelings of worry flow through them, not understanding that Cobain was becoming a recluse, a shell of his former self over time.
