Dawn of the Dachshund

With all this newfound time, I wanted to really push myself out of my comfort zone creatively. I ended up diving headfirst into the world of sound design and synthesis. Although decidedly a new direction sonically, this project also marks a return to my roots in another way, by pulling inspiration from the mashcore, breakcore, and internet music I used to listen to at age 16. Having to rely on the internet solely for social interaction, a number of these songs were written in part or wholly during twitch livestreams in the middle of the night where my viewers would give me feedback and silly ideas of things to add to each track. These have been paired with some other miscellaneous odds and ends from 2018 and 2019, resulting in a multi-genre journey through teenage nostalgia, trauma processing, and complete isolation.
