SPI Project in FPGA - Ambient Light Sensor
11 videos • 42,564 views • by nandland This project walks you through the basics of what is SPI, then shows you how to create your own SPI Master in both VHDL and Verilog for an FPGA. I show how to both create the code and test it using a testbench. Finally, I demonstrate the SPI Master by communicating with an Ambient Light Sensor. The Ambient Light Sensor has an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) on it, which communicates to the FPGA to get a digital reading of the brightness of the room.
