Following the success of his last effort here with ‘Irene Trains,’ Tali Freaks showcases his talent once more. Originally from Germany, he now calls Italy home, where he produces most of his music. His musical journey began in childhood, influenced by his father's deep musical knowledge. By nine, he started piano lessons, and by 16, he was DJing in Capri. He ventured into music production in 1994, which led to a collaboration with Naples-based Bustin Loose Records, led by Planet Funk. A versatile artist, he has explored various genres and aliases, including Aspecto, Capri Delight, Gerardo, Highland Skies, J Hard, and Tirrenia Vibe. It's great to have him back. We begin with the Original Mix which opens with a nice chunky kick drum and bright hi hat combo. Rhythmic percussions layer up, getting the toes tapping nicely before a playful, dancey bassline takes control of the groove. Funky elements ooze from the groove as striking chord stabs create textured layers. Cool vocal shots add weight to the vibe while a more sultry persona takes hold on the break with smooth guitar riffs and plucky melodies taking centre-stage. Superb stuff that is not to be missed. The Reprise Mix is up next to round out the release, featuring a robust kick drum and crisp hi-hat combination. Layered percussions build a rhythmic foundation, leading to a lively, danceable bassline that dominates the groove. Just like the original, funky elements permeate the track, with sharp chord stabs adding rich texture.
