We welcome Nenad J, the talented Swiss DJ and producer, back to Piston Recordings with his latest release, ‘Loneliness’, following his last outing 'Dig Deeper'. Nenad brings a distinct sonic flair to the label, crafting music that delivers an intense and captivating experience, sure to make your speakers pulse with energy. Beyond his solo endeavours, Nenad is one-half of the dynamic duo Aux Couture, collaborating with fellow Swiss artist Erhalder to produce top-notch tracks across various labels since 2018. A formidable presence in the electronic music scene, Nenad also shares his infectious vibes on his monthly podcast, Slackjackerz, and runs his own record label, Аеробик. We’re delighted to have him with us once more. We begin with the Original Mix, which opens with a pacey, punchy kick drum alongside shuffling percussions that create infectious rhythms. A deep, resonating bassline comes through with cool vocal snippets in tow, generating an intriguing groove. Powerful stuff, with a big focus on combining several drum types, making this the perfect fodder for late-night trips. Dario La Mazza joins us at Piston with an impressive remix to mark his debut on the label. Hailing out of Zurich, Switzerland, DJ and producer Dario spent several years playing all of the major local clubs alongside many international artists such as Solomun, Hot since 82, Loco Dice, Marco Carola and more. He held multiple residencies around Zurich, attending special events and hosting his own shows. For him as a DJ, it’s all about a rhythmic and deep groove, finding a connection to the audience by playing tracks that create the perfect fit and vibe for an unforgettable experience. Great to have him on board. Dario’s interpretation here stays true to the original and keeping with the trippy qualities it offers. Opening with short, punchy kicks and minimal percussions that build beautifully into a myriad of patterns and rhythms. A deep subby bass controls the groove while vocal snippets add texture to the sound. The break throws up some mellow 303 plucks that add weight to the raw nature of the groove.
