Total viewing time @ 6 hours. Long ago I posted several out-takes of this on my YouTube site, choosing those clips that I thought would appeal to a broader audience. Now, I've posted the video in its entirety. Although this video centers on the Crazy Cats, This will also be of interest to those who served in the United States Army Security Agency (USASA or simply: ASA), the 509th Radio Research Group (509th RRGP) or the 224th Aviation Battalion (Radio Research). Briefly stated, the ASA's mission was to eavesdrop on enemy radio signal intelligence (SIGINT) and Communications Intelligence (COMINT) We take a brief look at the history of US military involvement in Vietnam, the origins of the ASA, 509th RRGP, 224th Avn Bn (RR) and, of course, the Crazy Cats. We also look at the other allied and enemy warriors on the electronic battlefield. Because ASAers did their work on a 'need-to-know' basis, few had a view of the broader picture. I hope this helps your know place in the overall scheme of things. Many veterans have found this an ideal way to share their Vietnam experience with family and friends. History teachers have also told me they use this video in their classes. I hope you enjoy. While I wrote, edited, narrated and produced this video, it was only made possible with the financial and moral support of my fellow veterans and friends. They are named in my lengthy credits at the end. Thanks guys (and a few gals)!
