An army surplus quonset hut was attached to the back of the house initially as a television studio. Becoming too cramped, the recording studio switched places with the film studio and became a popular success. Columbia Records purchased the studio in 1962 and operations there ceased in 1982. Mike Curb renovated the property in 2006 and it is now utilized as a recording classroom for Belmont University.
