Argentina Dove Hunting Day 1 AM

My brother and I arrived after the rest of our group and were taken directly to the field from the hotel in Córdoba, about an hour drive and got started shooting around 10 AM ART (CST +2). I met my field assistant, Mataco, and was taken to my blind that already had a gun, ammo, and some drinks. You can actually see the spot on Google Maps/Earth; it's a break in a tree line between two fields. The blinds were scrub brush they cut and stuck in the ground to provide you with chest high coverage. I quickly found out I had a weird OCD thing with the brush being near my swing and a lot of the trip I moved where there was no brush; explains why I hate panel/A-frame blinds. https://maps.app.goo.gl/jnwzbeBgdBrSL... I had done a LOT of research before the trip, so I had a PAST pad and The Gun Glove gloves along with ear and eye pro. I found that when hunting solo, I preferred my non-electronic molded plugs and when hunting with my brother, I wanted to have a conversation so I wore my electronic molded plugs. He doesn't bird hunt as much, so he had molded ear plugs and would change them out for muffs when they were bothering him. One of the tips I read was to bring a clays style shell pouch and I am glad I did. When I would shoot one or two times I'd just reload the gun myself, but when I shot a lot I learned how to hold the gun so the loading port was facing Mataco and he could load it very fast. The gloves really helped protect my thumb when loading in the 20 ga shells and towards the end of the trip the trigger finger on my glove had a hole in it and the left palm area where it wraps around the shotgun forearm was shredded; better the glove than my hands. Anytime you pull feathers its considered a hit, so even if you just clip a wing, they mark it as a hit. As I stated earlier, I was hunting in a tree break and facing down the tree line. My brother was next to me and you can see some birds he hits in several of the videos and a dead tree that was a dove magnet; I would have moved to face that tree and shot incoming doves. You'll see doves, Spotted Wing pigeons, I think Picazuro pigeons, and a parakeet in the videos. The hunt lasted about two hours and then we went for a great field lunch and a chance to lay down for a nap. It was a bit too warm to sleep, but it was nice to lay down and take your shoes off for a bit. I shot 7 boxes during this hunt. We got back into the field around 3 for the afternoon shoot. We hunted with David Denies at the La Dormida Lodge from 3/25/2024-3/28/2024. Our guns were Benelli Montefeltro with modified chokes and shooting Armusa PLA-1 7/8 oz. #7 shot.
