The group features some of the hottest acoustic talent in the Pittsburgh region including 5 string banjo extraordinaire Joe Dep and Kate Black blazing the strings of the fiddle. While Harmony Junction’s instrumentation harkens back to the early days of folk string bands, they have pushed the boundaries of traditional with their original compositions by infusing elements of bluegrass, newgrass, jazz, funk, fusion and improvisation to define a new genre of acoustic music.
