14 videos • 2,815 views • by _ Xavier Basically I got the idea for this project after hearing how their Bloom LP, the only album they've actually released as a two set at 45 RPM, sounds played at the slower speed of 33 1/3 RPM on a turntable. Both the tempo and pitch have been changed to play at 74.074% their original speed. You can achieve the same result by playing a 45 RPM vinyl at 33 1/3 RPM. (For you music nerds out there, it appears this alteration makes it sound a Perfect 4th lower.) I've included their entire discography slowed in this way. I can't get enough of any and all things Beach House; and so hearing them in this completely different way, while oddly distorted at first, still retains the classic charm that is Beach House but now at a deathly relaxed slower pace.
