RUSH HOUR "Picture Perfect" Remastered 5-23-2022

11 videos • 61 views • by Pcmjr May 25th, 2022, marks the day Picture Perfect was available for the first time. It mainly serves as a tribute to that date in 1997, when his family, friends, and peers in music, lost Larry at age forty to cancer. The production of Picture Perfect was done on 1-11-1997. The record company turned it down. The record was made without the use of live drums. It was not possible for Larry to physically play his kit. Instead he spent much of his time most days, writing, arranging, and sequencing ALL the drum, percussion, and keyboard background parts. A mini studio was set up in a little office at his house. With an Apple computer, a borrowed Panasonic 16 channel live audio board and two A.D.A.T. decks for recording overdubs of guitar, bass, keyboards, plus sax and flute. Mixed using the same set up with a set of Sony MDR-CD999 headphones only. Making music, playing music, spending time with his wife and children, and his duties as a first responder fireman was as important to Larry, every day, as giving thanks through his faith. I'm sure getting this music "out there" for everybody to hear and enjoy would make him very happy. (Pcmjr)
