This in-person performance featured the projection of stars and the celestial on the ceiling of the performance venue, as well as accompanying video star projections during the concert. The concert was an immersive experience to explore our connection to the stars and embark on the question whether all have access to seeing the stars in the night sky. The concert was preceded by a virtual discussion to ask the question: "Are stars for all who look up?" The discussion featured experts in the field of astronomy, environmental justice, and music to explore the equity of seeing celestial bodies visible in the night sky. This playlist features some of the music from the performance. Please note that in these live recordings from the concert, the lighting was kept dark for the in-person audience to be able to experience the projected night sky. We highly recommend watching our pre-concert discussion video at the end of the playlist as it is enlightening and worth our time to consider than not everyone has the same access to viewing the stars in the night sky.
