Ralfi Pagan - Ralfi (Visualizer Playlist)
8 videos • 563 views • by Ralfi Pagan Ralfi Pagán was a New York-based Latin soul and salsa singer-songwriter of Puerto Rican and Cuban heritage. His distinctive talent as a singer and songwriter gave him the ability to write and perform across multiple genres and two languages. He made anything he touched uniquely his own. The Latin soul legend made an impact with the five albums he released before his untimely death in 1978. His third album on Fania, Ralfi, released in 1973. Unlike his other releases, Ralfi features English-language covers of folk-rock and soul songs, including The Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Didn’t Want To Have To Do It,” Carole King’s “It’s Too Late,” George Harrison and Bob Dylan’s “I’d Have You Anytime” and Oscar Brown’s soulful “Brother Where Are You?”. While most of the cover songs are folk-rock, Pagan interprets them in his own smooth falsetto R&B/soul ballad style. The album was produced by Kenny Vance, singer/songwriter and founding member of the New York folk-rock group Jay and the Americans. While there are Latin flavor tinges throughout the album, with Latin percussion and the occasional adlibs in Spanish, this is primarily an R&B/soul gem. #ralfipagan #ralfi ___________________________________________________________ Subscribe to Fania: https://found.ee/fania-subscribe-yt-lat Fania newsletter: https://found.ee/fania-subscribe-news...
