Why Theology Matters

7 videos • 15 views • by Created 2 Learn I am so excited to present this awesome series called "Why Theology Matters" Theology should matter to every Bible believing Christian in the world today. You might say, "theology isn't for me." Or you might say, "theology isn't all that important, as long as I love Jesus and love people." While I agree and understand this sentiment, however there is so much more regarding our Christian life than we realize. All of life’s central questions are deeply theological. All of our questions about the everyday ups and downs of guilt, joy, doubt, peace, suffering, justice, and injustice all require a solid biblical and theological grounding. This is the primary reason why Created 2 Learn was birthed. In this series, I discuss one-on-one with some of the most influential biblical scholars, Bible commentary writers, Seminary professors and teachers in their respected field. One one presenting their argument concerning theological matters and presenting us with some key examples from Scripture. In this series, we are not out to prove anyone wrong. Theology and the Christian life are not competing interests, but two sides of the same coin. This is why theology is so important to every believer and the local church. The church is a community of people on mission with God. Theology should fuel our devotion to God and our passion for presenting the gospel to the world around us. However, we need to ask ourselves, "Is my understanding and perspective of God and His Word substantial and correct?" Because a solid theological understanding of God and the Christian life is a powerful tool for our mission. We can all become good theologians. Not just a good theologian, but a good theologian in the distinctively Christian sense. Theology matters for you because theology is for everyone. Every Christian is a theologian. Join me and my guests as we discuss theological matters.
