It's for a course called "Planet Rap: Global Hip Hop and Postcolonial Perspectives", by Griffith Roberson. Griff was looking examples of Irish hip-hop that is EITHER a.) deep into Celtic mythology, b.) primarily in Irish, or c.) deas with the Easter Rising or other anti-colonial matters. I put together a rough playlist, and asked many of the people involved in the hip-hop scene to submit more some notes. It might turn people on to some good music a.) this is not a definitive playlist it's just a rough intro to the subject b.) some artists such as Scary Eire could have easily had 5 or 10 tracks on c.) lots of the best stuff submitted to me is not on youtube and this doesn't get included here d.) one or two satirical numbers and dj pieces make it too. They are important IMO e.) i included a few tracks by important artists that are off topic
