Both measures were proposed by city administration to increase safety and access for those people navigating the city by foot, bike, or other mobility device, and both saw a high level of public engagement. The policy to create a 30km/h speed limit for roads designated a "bikeway" passed 8 - 3, and the Connecting Avenue C Project passed 6 - 5. The city marches forward to a more inclusive transportation network.
