Bach - Brandenburg Concertos - Stuttgart
19 videos • 244 views • by LJones20110501 These Brandenburg Concertos were first issued in 1973 under Decca's World of the Great Classics series of LPs. I bought the original LPs in the 1970s and played them often, but lost them in a burglary some years later. By chance I found these videos on YT recently, but have made this Playlist as the extant playlist of 19 videos uses a different source for the 2nd Concerto. All 19 of the videos in this Playlist feature the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra conducted by Karl Munchinger and all of them are separately available on YT. I have heard many recordings of the Brandenburg Concertos, but none of those other recordings match these. The only drawback (and this is not unique to these videos) is that they sound a bit 'tinny' compared to the original vinyl LPs, but better this than nothing !
