Since 2006, each class at Duke University has been part of the annual class photo tradition where first-year students spell out their class year. Coming together for the class photo marks one of the final times all the first-years will be in a group until commencement four years later. The photo was once captured using massive lifts to snap the picture, but is now captured using a drone.
