NOTE: This is MY preferred and very biased take on what I would ideally want to be played at 1991 raves at one time or another. 1991 was a fantastic year for music and a personal favourite. Musical style choices are also less eclectic than previous years as I heavily got even more into techno and it was also the first (proper) year of hardcore. Sometimes both styles were difficult to tell apart as both scenes were influencing each other. Tracks I would expect or want to listen to during 1991 in Techno / Hardcore clubs, illegal and legal parties, warehouse parties, open fields, marquees, under motorway flyovers, the myriad of illegal pirate radio stations ie Chillin FM, Innocence FM, Pulse FM, Hardcore FM, Green Apple Radio, Rave FM, Friends FM, IBC mixtapes, Planet FM. Kiss FM (when it was good) especially by the DJs Colin Dale and Colin Faver, Mr C and to a lesser extent Steve Jackson. And other miscellaneous places! These are all personal preferences and not an everyone else's general exhaustive list. It's MY own personal exhaustive list. Music policy during this period was generally less eclectic. The main style was of (Techno, Hardcore Techno and its sub genres) - which I was heavily into. And the early UK Hardcore sound before it turned into jungle. With a generous smattering of House, Acid, Industrial, Breakbeat and very, very early Jungle Techno. By artists from the UK - Belgium - USA - Netherlands - Italy - Germany - Sweden - Norway and France. I thank all the great youtube music channels out there which have provided the opportunity for this playlist to even be compiled.
