Shaka Black and the Budapest Riddim Band met for the first time by chance in Budapest in autumn 2012. They gave a spontaneous concert and after this show they immediately decided to make a full album together. The album was finished very quickly, in a couple of months, and during the studio session they became very close friends as well. Shaka and the band recorded their own 11 reggae and dancehall songs. There are also tree extra tracks on the album: a cover of Boops riddim, a very slow, acoustic version of the song 'Life is a struggle' and a dub mix from Junior Nabu. Shaka Black -------------- He was born in Montserrat next door Island to Jamaica. During his 20 years of singing he was touring all around Jamaica and the US working with the biggest names in the industry such as Luciano, Burning Spear, Lee Scratch Perry, Marley brothers etc... Now he brought the message to Europe, ready to show off his skills in various styles of roots reggae. There's too much hate and unnecessary argument between ordinary people and families. His mission in music is touching the soul and conscious mind of the weak and poor to open their third eyes, stick together and realize who the real enemy is.
