All these bands where formed in the early to mid 80's, out of New wave, against a backdrop of the punk scene that was dying out, thatcherism, and the vile popscene that was emerging, alot of these bands dug deep into their west coast , psychedelic, record collections, not forgetting the mondays for 'chicago beats'...and fusing it with the up and coming...acid house , dance music, that set the tone for the 'so called' second summer of love acid house parties..in britain between 88-89,...this lead to the sound...we know and affectionately love...these days as the MADCHESTER SOUND.
