9 videos • 133 views • by UN Human Rights Council In its resolution S-33/1, on the situation of human rights in Ethiopia, adopted on 17 December 2021, the Human Rights Council decided to establish, for a period of one year, renewable as necessary, an international commission of human rights experts on Ethiopia, comprising three human rights experts, to be appointed by the President of the Human Rights Council, to complement the work undertaken by the joint investigative team. The Commission’s mandate was extended for a period of one year, until October 2023, at which point the Council declined to renew the mandate and the Commission was disbanded.
