HRC43 resumed on 15 June 2020 and concluded on 23 June 2020. During this second part of the session, member states held an urgent debate on racially inspired human rights violations, systemic racism, police brutality and violence against peaceful protests. This urgent debate was prompted by the murder of George Floyd and the reaction to it in the United States, and heard from a range of voices, including Mr. Floyd's brother, Philonese.
