However, their beliefs in the supposed dual nature of Christ, & God as three “manifestations” share the Trinity’s lack of direct scriptural statements & have their own inconsistences & contradictions. True apostolic teaching in the second chapter of Acts, as well as in the balance of Acts, finds not a single instance in which the apostles were teaching the people that Jesus was in fact the Father in the flesh. Neither did they teach that God is three “manifestations.” To be truly apostolic, we must preach to the nations the true and complete apostolic message – not that Jesus is God Almighty – but rather that he is the one whom God has made to be “Lord and Christ” (Acts 2.36). We must begin to call people to repentance and baptism in his name, with the same faith that Peter was preaching on the Day of Pentecost - Jesus is “the Christ” (Acts 2.38).
