Though not a popular sport at the time, he would more widely begin to capture the public’s attention with Pumping Iron, George Butler’s documentary on bodybuilding, which covered the 1975 Mr. Olympia competition. Of course, Arnold had bigger ambitions than bodybuilding, and used this momentum to catapult himself into Hollywood. At first, opportunities were scarce, but he leveraged his unique build into playing suitable characters in iconic films such as Conan The Barbarian, Predator, The Terminator and Commando.
