He has performed with The Angels of Light, Bill Callahan, Devendra Banhart, Lisa Germano, Yonatan Gat, and many more. He has recorded at least six instrumental albums with the Austin producer Rob Halverson. He also contributed to Ben Frost's 2014 album, Aurora. Today, Harris is the frontman of the ensemble Thor & Friends—a vehicle for experimentation with the conceptual vocabulary of American Minimalism. The ensemble has three core members, Thor Harris, Peggy Ghorbani and Sarah “Goat” Gautier, with its line-up expanding to include Michael Gira, Jarboe, Alan and Mimi Parker from Low, Bill Callahan, Jolie Holland, Jennifer Wasner, Jeremy Barnes and Heather Trost of A Hawk and a Hacksaw, John Dieterich from Deerhoof, Thierry Amar and Tim Herzog from Godspeed You!
