" Dear respected community members, পহেলা বৈশাখ - the first day of the Bangla New Year 1430, is knocking on our doors too! This is a phenomenon that is deeply rooted in our identity as Bengalis. The sound of early morning musical instruments, the traditional festival gatherings of fine arts institutes, and the multitude of fairs all bring out the Bengali in us. Western United SC Incorporated , in collaboration with other Asian Community including the Asian Business Association of Wyndham Inc. (ABA WYNDHAM), will host a day-long event called the "Multicultural New Year (Boishakhi) & Dragon Boat Festival" on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The event details are: Date : 06th May (Saturday) 2023 Time : 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Venue : Encore Events Centre, 80 Derrimut Rd, Hoppers Crossing,VIC 3029 Entry Fee : Free The event will feature live music by international performers, such as Nakib Khan, Agoon, and other exceptionally talented singers from Bangladesh and Mumbai, India, as well as a band from Sydney and Victoria, dances, face painting, poetry recitation, and a variety of stalls selling jewellery, jewelleries, boutiques, apparel, and other products.The celebration will also have multi-cultural shows, kids' activities, and a laser show.
