HogFat- Through The Years: A Retrospective
3 videos • 1 views • by Joe Servo Oftentimes called "the greatest band that almost was", HogFat endured more than four-decades of consistent global touring, often to sell-out crowds, but due to bad contracts, label disputes, and constant litigation, frequently found themselves in debt to the record companies and their management, despite selling millions of tickets. This repeated cycle saw the band record various albums which were never released, the record company would always claim the band was out of money and would need to tour again to raise funds. Most of this material would become lost media. Despite the setbacks, HogFat always set out on the road, intent to play their music for their fans. "It was never about the money, it was about the music" said singer Rick Varden. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ From the liner notes: The hardest hits from "the greatest band that almost was", sit back and go on a journey through time courtesy of the always foreward-thinking HogFat, the most original rock band since before rock died!
