One of the most storied franchise in all of the horror genre is the house that Michael built: the Halloween series. Originally starting with the babysitter murders of the 1978 classic horror movie Halloween, this franchise evolved into a juggernaut containing several timelines, connections and callbacks. In this playlist, I'll be analyzing all the movies in the Halloween franchise. Each of the earlier films seems to have a message that the filmmaker wanted to convey to the audience, while the later films rely more on references to the lore built up throughout the course of this franchise. Of course, I'll be covering everything you might have overlooked in the timeless story of Michael Myers, Laurie Strode and Sam Loomis. The "Original Timeline" covers Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween IV: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995). Then there's Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), which stands on it's own. The "20 Year Timeline" consists of Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) and Halloween: Resurrection (2002). The "Rob Zombie Timeline" consists of Halloween (2007) and Halloween II (2009).
