Solid Gold Artists in Conversation
7 videos • 184 views • by HOTA, Home of the Arts Sound Production and Film students from TAFE Queensland Coomera Creative Campus, and members of the HOTA Youth Advisory Group, sat down with some artists featuring in the HOTA Gallery’s first major exhibition SOLID GOLD: Artists from Paradise to explore the creative process of contemporary Queensland artists, both emerging and established, through inquiry into their collective artistic practice. The artists shared their everyday activities and approach to artistic practice, and their experience of living as an artist on the Gold Coast. They also talked about their identity as art makers and what is unique to the place they call home. These podcasts will provide a fascinating insight into the lives and practise of some of our local artists. And the partnership also provides TAFE students with a work integrated learning experience, connecting students with industry leaders and practical experience in their chosen field.
