My favorite Robin the Frog songs

He became Kermit’s nephew in the Bernadette Peters episode, and that’s my favorite alongside the Ruth Buzzi, Julie Andrews and Paul Williams episodes. Halfway Down the Stairs is a sweet and touching song, and was sung by Christopher Robin in the Winnie the Pooh poems. Rowlf performed that song on the “Ol’ Brown Ears Is Back” album, and my aunt and I sang the song with my Rowlf plush assisting. One of my favorite A A Milne songs alongside Cottleston Pie. Every time I sing that song, it makes me think of his voice actor, Jerry Nelson, who also voiced the Count from Sesame Street. Much better than Peter Linz and Matt Vogel doing it. I’m Five is a great song, and I was 5 years old in 2020, so I loved doing it. My aunt’s dog was five years old, but passed away in 2019. In the end of his song about how he is 5, he tried to sing “They Called The Wind Maria”, but then he was yanked offstage by a cane. Somewhere Over the Rainbow was one of my favorite songs, and Dorothy Gale, the main character from Wizard of Oz performed that song. Miss Piggy performed that song from “The Muppets Go To The Movies”, and Rowlf tells her she was in black and white. “The color comes in a minute!” That song was added in the Broadway version of the movie, which featured the lion portrayed by Ken Page, who voiced Oogie Boogie and King Gator. Somewhere Over The Rainbow, I’m Five and Halfway Down The Stairs were my favorite songs by him. Rest in peace, Jerry Nelson.
