This event was particularly auspicious because it marks the first official event launching the newly created W. Edwards Deming Incubator for Public Affairs (WEDIPA) at Southern Utah University. By way of introduction, WEDIPA works in direct collaboration with The W. Edwards Deming Institute® (WEDI) to promote new avenues in academic research and project-based teaching and learning initiatives emphasizing Dr. Deming’s System of Profound Knowledge® in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. WEDIPA's mission is to promote new dialogs and facilitate innovation related to teaching and research including special topics seminars, internships, as well as working papers and grant proposals. WEDIPA is meant to support WEDI in a variety of experimental partnerships with other academic and professional organizations.
