Title track Proton, leads the charge - a high octane cut built around an unhinged bassline and ferocious percussion. It’s a sure fire party starter, as is the rest of the EP. X1 starts as a chugging groover, before slowly unfurling into a gnarly example of contemporary techno. Next up is the aptly titled Twisted, which grows into a monster cut through acidic basslines and an insistent, hypnotic groove. Last but not least is The Edge, another example of Ruetz’s skills in expertly leading a dancefloor.
