These two girls, steeped in music and overflowing with talent, have put together a fine selection of country numbers, some instantly recognisable and other well worth including for their quality alone. Hits like - 'Are You Teasing Me' 'Break up is so hard to do' & 'Biding my Time' from Anne, with 'Hands' and 'I want to loose me in you' from Shelly, will certainly make this album a success. The striking marine ladies are living proof that dreams can come true. Shelly and Anne were reared under the one roof, not unusual in it-self because they are sister, but both had a single ambition to succeed in show business never realising that when the big break would come, it would be presented on the double. Having ventured separately in showbands, they were finally brought together to sing with the Marines, a band of class who were building up a big reputation in Irish Cabaret and Dancehalls. From there the careers of both girls raced forward and listeners to the singing and music on this record will realise why The Marines and their female vocalists are so highly regarded.
