Now we make our own TV/Nam June Paik” is dedicated to issue of actual videoart and media activism, documentation and fixation of actual performance, slide show of actual and archival photography, audiovisual documentations in context of actual art, audiovisual documentations in context of visual and media culture, films in context of actual art. Project was launched as a part of Third Odessa Biennial of Contemporary Art “Self-government: cultural evolution vs. revolution” parallel program in 31st August 2013 — 1st September in partnership with TV channel "Odessa", Ukraine. Task of project “TV has attacked us all our lives, now we fight back. Now we make our own TV/Nam June Paik” is fulfillment of purposes and principles of 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, which was ratified by Ukraine on January 20, 2010, and which came into force in Ukraine on June 10, 2010. Project “TV has attacked us all our lives, now we fight back. Now we make our own TV/Nam June Paik” is broadcast twice a week, Saturday and Sunday, on Odessa regional cable TV and Radio channel “Odessa”, Ukraine (partner of the project) and is curated by Mariia Gonchar.
