His father, Syed Ghulam Akbar Shah Shirazi was also a very famous Zakir. Shahji (as all called him with respect and affection) read his majalis mostly in Saraiki. I had the good luck to have a considerable time with him whenever he will visit us in the 1990s. Shahji was a simple, friendly, and engaging man. Since, we did not have any of his tapes, we requested him to tape for us some of his kalam, qaseedas, nohas, and "dohray". These tapes were prepared at our home in Islamabad in 1998-99. Unfortunately, within three years he passed away. It is my great privilege to upload these videos for our viewers.
